The primary public swimming area on Anderson Island: RULES:
DOGS (except for service dogs) and ALCOHOL are not allowed.

CAUTIONS:
No lifeguard is on duty.

LOCATION:
Located on Guthrie Road, Lowell Johnson Park is one of Anderson Island's busiest public parks.


HISTORY:
It is known as "The Ol' Swimmin' Hole" by locals because of it's historic origin. It was a gathering place and probably used for bathing before electric power was introduced to the island in the 1960's.
